Bangli is the only region in Bali that has no beaches. With a total area of 520 km², Bangli has 197.000 inhabitants most of whom rely on farming. Besides rice, this region grows and pro-duces Arabica coffee.

Bangli is divided into 4 sub districts. One of the four sub districts whose tourism industry is prominent is Kintamani.
